Nestled in Ethiopia’s renowned Sidama region, the Ayla Washing Station is a vibrant centre for exceptional specialty coffee. Here, smallholder farmers, many of whom grow coffee without access to artificial fertilisers or pesticides, bring their handpicked cherries for careful processing. This lot is a great example of Sidama’s potential: elegantly sweet and balanced, it showcases notes of stone fruit, with a gentle, tangy acidity that adds a refreshing brightness.
