Every cup of Congolese coffee tells a story of resilience in the face of war, displacement, drought, and instability. Even after a rebel invasion in 2025, Congolese farmers nurtured their crops, resulting in this exceptional nano-lot of naturally processed coffee, which we are proud to have exclusively in Ireland. The farmers belong to the Tuinuane cooperative - Swahili for ‘Let’s rise up’ - a name that perfectly reflects the journey behind this coffee. In the cup, it is beautifully smooth, with a bright, zingy acidity balancing sweetness, and layered flavour notes of raspberry jam, tangerine, and dark chocolate, creating a drinking experience as remarkable as its story.
