Rwamatamu Coffee was established in 2015 by the husband-and-wife team Laetitia Mukantwaza and Gaston Rutaganda. Beyond sourcing and processing exceptional coffee, they are committed to supporting rural communities through fair wages, consistent employment, and empowering women in coffee farming. Last year, their work gained international recognition at The Best of Rwanda Coffee Competition, where they placed second out of 300 entries.

This lot is bright, fruity, and juicy, with a clear acidity and a biscuity sweetness, making each sip a little taste of Berry Crumble.

The farmers pick and deliver their ripe red coffee cherries to the Cyato washing station, where they are then sorted and dried on raised beds. During the drying period, the coffee is actively rotated and moved in order to ensure even drying and controlled flavour development.
