Variety: Papayo | Process: Anaerobic Washed | Altitude: 1720 MASL | Harvest: May-June 2025 |Producer: Marlon Rojas Pérez, Finca La Reserva | Region: Pitalito, Huila
Exotic and intense with notes of melon, mango &candied orange.
This coffee is simply bursting with tropical fruit notes and a beautiful, zingy acidity! The secret lies in the rare Papayo varietal, an almost unknown Arabica from Huila whose cherries resemble the papaya fruit, hence the name. Producer Marlon Rojas has crafted this lot with exceptional care. After being harvested at peak ripeness, the cherries undergo 48 hours of oxidation before pulping, followed by 88 hours of fermentation in sealed containers. The coffee is then washed and slowly dried for 15 days, resulting in a cup that’s vibrant, complex, and truly unique — a great example of Colombia’s innovative coffee culture.
Presented in a 150g reusable (thanks to its cap), fully recyclable food-grade can.
