Fruity and bright, with notes of melon, star fruit & green tea.
This coffee bursts with bright acidity and vibrant sweetness, opening with flavours reminiscent of ripe melon. As the cup cools, subtle tea-like notes emerge, bringing a clean, elegant finish. Processed at Rwamatamu’s Mbare Washing Station in Rwanda, the cherries are carefully spread on raised beds and hand-sorted on arrival. Over 26–33 days of drying, the cherries are regularly turned and meticulously sorted, allowing sugars and fruit character to slowly infuse the beans.
Once fully dried, the coffee is transported to milling facilities in Kigali, where it is dehusked, polished, and graded before export, resulting in a bright, juicy cup that bursts with fruit-forward notes, like tearing open a bag of your favourite sweets.
The farmers pick and deliver their ripe red coffee cherries to the Cyato washing station, where they are then sorted and dried on raised beds. During the drying period, the coffee is actively rotated and moved in order to ensure even drying and controlled flavour development.
