ETHIOPIA

Variety: Heirloom | Process: Washed | Altitude: 2350 MASL | Harvest: January 2024 |Producer: Small-scale farmers, Buku Sayisa washing station | Region: Hambela Wamena, Guji

Sweet and complex, with notes of dried apricot, bergamot & black tea.

The Buku Sayisa washing station processes some of the highest-grown coffee we've ever encountered - a staggering 2350 meters above sea level! This altitude results in slower cherry maturation and better sugar development than lower regions, leading to distinctive, and sweeter coffees like this one. The body is light and almost 'sparkly', with a beautiful transparency and distinctive waves of florals and fruit. A classic for lovers of Ethiopian coffee.
