Juicy and sweet, with notes of cola, fruit scone & blackcurrant jam.
This exceptional microlot from the Kainamui washing station immediately caught our attention with its vibrant acidity and juicy fruit character. Grown by smallholder farmers in Kirinyaga County, where rich volcanic soils and abundant rivers create ideal conditions for coffee cultivation, this coffee showcases the distinctive profile that has made Kenyan coffees so sought after. Farmers in the region cultivate a diverse range of crops alongside coffee, contributing to a healthy and biodiverse agricultural landscape.
In the cup, expect bright notes of blackcurrant, sweet nectarine, and a distinctive cola finish, carried by a lively, sparkling acidity and a silky mouthfeel.
