Join us for a single-origin coffee cupping event @ Milligram Coffee in Sligo town, on Sunday November 10th from 11am-12.30pm.
Andrew is Carrow’s head roaster and a qualified Q Grader. He will explain the role of sensory analysis in coffee - essentially how we can perceive and name different flavours found in the cup and why it's worth doing. As part of this we'll explore the importance of aromas and spend some time developing our 'olfactory libraries'.
We'll then move to the cupping table, featuring the latest coffees from Carrow and another roaster. Andrew will discuss the protocol behind cupping, why it's good to 'slurp' and how factors including origin, altitude and process can impact a coffee's flavour.
The morning will conclude with a delicious cup of Carrow coffee and a vegan treat made by Veganly!
This event is organised as part of the ‘Taste the Island’ initiative and places are limited so make sure to book your ticket here.
